50 Isn’t Old Enough

I made carrot cake! I like spice cake, my husband likes dense cakes, so I found a recipe for an oatmeal carrot cake that would suit us both. It seemed like something that would hold very tall teen boys over from after school until dinner, too. Win!

I don’t like nuts in baked goods. I didn’t like it from childhood, and I have never grown out of it. When I was making this cake, I thought, “hey. I’m Fifty, now. Maybe I’ll like it.” Makes sense, doesn’t it?

It didn’t happen. I still don’t like it. Hubby is overjoyed. Kids didn’t complain. Maybe I’ll keep doing it until I like it. Though, it hasn’t worked with laundry or running.

I pray your day is blessed, and that you get to be a blessing.

Carrot cake with walnuts – but no raisins. I’m sure I’ll never grow up that much!
